refered to as 1st. Pattern Japanese Classic aka JWD (John Wayne Dense) by collectors.
Lightweight black cotton polplin lining.
Grommets/eyelets vented sides.
Selvage foliage band.
15oz. canvas brim interfacing with bias cut bound edge.
Modeled after the Okinawa made, CISO (Counter Insurgency Support Office) boonie hats.
