Levis Type 2 507xx pleat front, selvage denim jacket. The 507 model was produced from 1953 to 1962 with this example most likely being produced within the first 2 years of production.
Patch is missing but the lemon yellow thread remains and it's appears to be the more square shape of the earlier leather "Jerky" patch as opposed to the later paper versions which were first introduced in 1955.

Earlier "U-Turn" stitch on centre front yoke placket.
Excellent condition with a nice dark wash (80% to 90% indigo remains) and no real wear. Slight whiskering on the sleeve. It would be hard to find a better example in a decent size.
